Tam Coc sits 95 km south of Hanoi on the CT01 expressway. Noi Bai Airport is 30 km north of Hanoi city centre. So the total drive is ~125 km — about 3 hours in normal traffic, 4 hours in rush hour. Always add a 1-hour buffer.

Option 1: Direct private car (easiest)

A pre-booked private car from Tam Coc to Noi Bai costs $60-80 and takes 2.5-3 hours door-to-door. The driver picks you up at your hotel with luggage help, takes the expressway around Hanoi (avoiding city traffic) and drops you at the correct terminal (T1 domestic, T2 international).
